Your institution must be listed in our database. You are required to enter a valid college code at the time of registration.

If your college is not currently listed in our system:

• Step 1: Campus Ambassador Registration - Visit https://batchmates-app.com/college-code, Apply to become a Campus Ambassador for your college, Complete the verification process
• Step 2: Student Registration - Once Campus Ambassador is approved, students can register, Students will be added to the college waitlist, Provide valid College ID and other required documents
• Step 3: College Activation - Your college will be activated once minimum student registrations are received, All waitlisted students will be notified via email/SMS, You can then access all platform features

You have the full right, power, and legal capacity to enter into and comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you are accessing the platform on behalf of an institution or other legal entity, you have full authority to bind them to these terms.

You are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country subject to sanctions, embargoes, or similar legal restrictions. You also affirm that you are not prohibited by any applicable law, regulation, or order from using the services offered.

You agree that all information provided during registration and use of the platform is accurate, complete, and up to date. Submission of false or misleading information may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access to the platform, and may also carry legal consequences.

We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or revoke access to the platform to any user who, in our sole discretion, does not meet the eligibility criteria or is found to be in violation of these terms or applicable laws.

Refers to the mobile application, website, or any digital service operated by Batchmates, through which users can access its features, services, and content.

Means any individual who accesses or uses the Platform, including students, registered members, visitors, or any person acting on behalf of an institution.

Refers to Batchmates, the operator and owner of the Platform, including its employees, agents, partners, and affiliates.

Means all information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages, tags, or other materials uploaded, posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available through the Platform by any user.

Refers to all the features, functionalities, resources, and tools provided via the Platform, including but not limited to user profiles, messaging, educational tools, networking opportunities, and community features. All services are currently provided free of charge.

Means a valid identity document issued by a recognized educational institution that verifies your current enrollment status as a student.

Refers to a unique identifier issued or accepted by us to verify your institution's eligibility and your association with it.

Refers to the registered user profile created by you to access and use the Platform.

Means any statute, law, regulation, ordinance, rule, judgment, order, decree, directive, or guideline having the force of law in the jurisdiction where the Platform is accessed or used.

Your use of the app is entirely voluntary. No party compels you to download, register, or engage with the Platform.

The app is provided solely for your personal, non-commercial use unless expressly authorized in writing.

Any tasks, features, or interactions you engage in are done of your own free will. Your activity is not considered employment, contract work, or part of any legal obligation.

All actions taken via your account will be deemed as performed by you. If someone else accesses your account, you are responsible for their actions unless proven otherwise.

You are required to provide accurate, truthful, and current information at the time of registration and during all usage of the app.

You agree to treat other users with respect and integrity, refraining from harassment, bullying, or disruptive behavior.

You shall not attempt to hack, reverse engineer, extract source code, bypass authentication systems, or tamper with any aspect of the app or its services.

You may not use bots, scripts, or automated systems to access or interact with the app.

You acknowledge that by using the app, there may be technical glitches, experimental features, or temporary disruptions for which we are not liable.

You must create an account with accurate and up-to-date information, including required verification documents such as a valid college ID and college code.

Submission of false or misleading information may lead to immediate suspension or termination.

You are responsible for safeguarding your username, password, and any other login credentials.

You agree to notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized access or security breach.

You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

We reserve the right to temporarily disable or suspend your account without prior notice if suspicious or violating activity is detected.

You may delete your account at any time. Some data may be retained as required for legal, security, or business purposes.

Reactivation is subject to verification and approval by us. Deleted accounts generally cannot be restored.

We implement reasonable security measures, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

You shall not create or operate multiple accounts unless expressly authorized.

We may require stronger passwords or multi-factor authentication.

You agree not to engage in hacking, phishing, or distributing malware.

You authorize us to use your data to customize the app interface and suggest relevant content.

You grant us the right to analyze your activity to recommend updates and improve feature relevancy.

You give permission to communicate via SMS, in-app notifications, emails for service updates, reminders, and alerts.

With your consent, you authorize us to access your contacts to invite eligible peers to the Platform.

You permit us to use anonymized usage patterns and feedback to improve the Platform.

You grant permission to send transactional and service-based SMS messages. We do not read your SMS content.

When enabled, you allow access to your device's camera or gallery for uploading content.

You may grant location access for specific features. Always optional and user-controlled.

The Platform may request access to notifications, background activity, or limited internet usage.

You can revoke permissions at any time via device settings or within the app.

All data usage is governed by our Privacy Policy.

We do not sell or transfer your data for advertising or unrelated third-party marketing.

• Merge, rebrand, or integrate features

• May be unstable, incomplete, or unsupported
• Are subject to change or removal at any time
• Are provided "as-is" without warranties
• May collect usage or feedback data
• May require opt-in and additional terms

Some features depend on external tools. We do not control or guarantee their uptime, data handling, security, or compliance.

Users must:

• Use each feature only as intended
• Avoid misleading or manipulative interpretations
• Not assume hidden meanings or promises

You agree to:

• Use all features within their described purpose
• Not misuse, automate, overload, or extract data
• Avoid misleading, impersonating, manipulating, or exploiting others
• Report vulnerabilities responsibly

All services on the Batchmates platform are currently provided completely free of charge. There are no:

• Subscription fees
• Premium memberships
• Pay-per-feature charges
• Hidden costs
• In-app purchases

Should we introduce paid features or services in the future:

• We will provide at least 15 days advance notice to all users
• Existing free features will remain free
• You will have the option to opt-in to any paid services
• Updated Terms of Service will be provided
• You will not be automatically enrolled in any paid service

As we do not process payments:

• We do not collect credit card or banking information
• We do not store any financial data
• We do not process any monetary transactions
• Third-party payment processors are not involved

You retain full ownership of content you submit. You remain fully responsible for all consequences related to your submitted content.

By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, transferable, and sub-licensable license to:

• Use, reproduce, host, store
• Modify, adapt, format, or translate
• Distribute, publicly perform or display
• Create derivative works
• Communicate or publish across any media format

You warrant that:

• You own or have secured all necessary rights
• Your content does not infringe on third-party rights
• You are solely responsible for any legal consequences

We may display your:

• Username, profile picture, and user ID
• Social interactions (likes, follows, shares, comments)
• Relationships to other accounts or content

All platform-provided materials are owned by us or licensed to us. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license for personal, non-commercial purposes.

We may automatically download and install updates or enhancements to the App.

Any feedback you provide is deemed non-confidential and non-proprietary. You grant us the unrestricted right to use it without obligation.

We may remove content at our discretion. Removed content:

• May remain in backup or archival systems
• May persist in anonymized or aggregate data sets
• Will not be returned or recoverable after deletion

If you believe your rights have been violated, contact us. We will review claims and may remove infringing content or restrict offending accounts.

We moderate all user-generated content to:

• Protect users and platform integrity
• Comply with legal obligations
• Prevent misuse, abuse, or harm

You may not post content that:

• Is obscene, pornographic, defamatory, or racially objectionable
• Threatens India's unity, integrity, defence, security, or sovereignty
• Promotes hate, terrorism, violence, or illegal activity
• Violates intellectual property rights
• Spreads misinformation or disinformation
• Constitutes harassment or doxxing
• Deceives or misleads about the origin of messages

• Does not bear responsibility for offline outcomes unless directly caused by platform error or policy violation

• We do not endorse, validate, or moderate personal intent behind posts unless flagged and found in breach
• We cannot be held liable for how others react to digital content

• The platform serves as a neutral medium, not a publisher or participant
• Users bear responsibility for their conduct and outcomes

• We enforce content guidelines, reporting systems, and moderation protocols
• However, we do not guarantee immunity from misuse or escalation to offline effects

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or unforeseeable harm (mental, emotional, physical, reputational, financial) arising outside the scope of platform usage.

We do not:

• Monitor, guide, or influence user conversations beyond safety enforcement
• Involve ourselves in personal, social, or legal outcomes of interactions
• Bear responsibility for chaos, harm, conflict, or distress created by user-initiated connections

We are liable for:

• Privacy Violations: Data mishandling, breaches due to negligence, GDPR/CCPA/DPDP violations
• Hosting Illegal Content: Knowingly hosting illegal content, failing to remove flagged content within mandated timelines
• IP Infringement: Ignoring DMCA notices, facilitating repeat violations
• Defamation or Harassment: Not removing reported content, amplifying harmful content
• Algorithmic Harm: AI promoting harmful content, lack of transparency
• Discrimination or Bias: Biased moderation or algorithms
• Non-Compliance with Laws: Failure to comply with country-specific laws

We are liable for failing to maintain age-appropriate content standards for our adult student user base (18+), including inadequate age verification or exposure to inappropriate content.

• Access if not fully able and legally competent to agree to this TOS
• Modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, disassemble, or decompile the Services
• Distribute, license, transfer, or sell any of the Services or derivative works
• Market, rent, or lease the Services for a fee
• Interfere with or disrupt proper working of the Services
• Incorporate the Platform into any other program or product
• Use automated scripts to collect information
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Intimidate or harass another, or promote explicit material, violence, or discrimination
• Use another's account without authorization
• Create false identity
• Use in a manner that creates conflict of interest

You shall not upload, transmit, distribute, or store:

• Files containing viruses, trojans, worms, or malicious material
• Unsolicited advertising, spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes
• Private information of any third party
• Content infringing copyright, trademark, or intellectual property
• Defamatory, obscene, offensive, hateful, or inflammatory content
• Content encouraging criminal offence, dangerous activities, or self-harm
• Content designed to provoke, harass, scare, distress, or upset people
• Threats of any kind
• Racist or discriminatory content
• Answers, responses, or recommendations you are not qualified to provide
• Any objectionable content restricting others or exposing us to liability

• Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right
• Interfere with, disrupt, or negatively affect other users
• Use robots, spiders, crawlers, scrapers, or automated means to access or extract data
• Encourage or induce any third party to engage in prohibited activities

You represent, warrant, and acknowledge that:

• You are authorized to access and use the Platform in your jurisdiction
• If using on behalf of organization, you have the right to do so
• Your use of the Services is at your own risk
• We are not liable for damage or harm arising from your use
• You are 18 years or older and have full legal capacity to enter into this agreement
• All information provided, including age verification through your College ID, is accurate and truthful

We may, at our sole discretion and without liability, with or without prior notice:

• Modify, temporarily suspend, or permanently terminate your access
• Suspend your User Account
• Edit your account details

We can remove content or information that violates this TOS, our policies, or as required by law. We can refuse to provide or stop providing services if you:

• Create risk or legal exposure for us
• Violate this TOS or policies
• Infringe other people's intellectual property rights

We can terminate or change the Service, remove or block content, or stop providing services at any time.

Content you share may continue to exist even if you leave. We may backup, archive, and retain your content even if you terminate your account.

You may terminate your Account by sending us a written request. We will provide 30 days notice to permanently terminate.

We will not be liable for losses resulting from modification, suspension, or termination.

Upon termination:

• We may delete or deactivate your account and all related information
• We will retain and use information as necessary to comply with legal obligations

If you violate this TOS, we may delete information transmitted by you, suspend or cancel your account. We shall not be responsible or liable for any damage incurred as a result.

Our failure or delay in exercising any right, power, or privilege shall not operate as a waiver thereof.

The invalidity or unenforceability of any term shall not affect the validity or enforceability of other terms, all of which shall remain in full force and effect.

We have no responsibility or liability for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our control, including flood, extraordinary weather, earthquake, act of God, fire, war, insurrection, riot, labour dispute, accident, action of government, communications, power failure, or equipment or software malfunction.

An Account cannot be sold or transferred. You may not assign or transfer any right to use the Services or obligations under this TOS without prior written consent from us.

This TOS contains the entire agreement and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous understandings between the parties regarding the Services on the Platform.
